Policy & Influence

DARI engages with policymakers, international organizations, and civil society to shape governance frameworks for emerging technologies. Our policy work is grounded in the belief that effective regulation must be informed by deep understanding - of the technology itself, of its societal implications, and of the values at stake.

We convene expert roundtables and working groups that bring together technologists, ethicists, legal scholars, and government officials to develop practical recommendations for AI governance. Our policy briefs and position papers are designed to be actionable - translating complex research into concrete proposals that policymakers can implement.

DARI maintains an active presence in international forums, including the United Nations, the European Union, and major multilateral institutions, advocating for governance approaches that prioritize human welfare, democratic participation, and long-term thinking.

We also work to build the capacity of governments and international organizations to understand and respond to rapidly evolving technological developments, providing training, technical assistance, and access to our research network.
